You're really on the run! 정말 바쁘시군요!

이번 주의 주제는 Modern Life로 바쁜 현대 생활에서 사용할 수 있는 여러 표현을 소개한다. Be on the run은 '분주히 돌아다니다, 활동하다'이고 have a million things to do는 '할 일이 태산 같다'이다. 또한 to top it off는 above all, besides 등과 같은 의미로 '게다가'라는 뜻이다.

A: Do you think you might have time to drop by the coffee shop after work? 

B: I wish I could, but I have a million things to do… 

A: You're really on the run these days, aren't you? 

B: Yeah, and to top it off my parents are coming over for the weekend! 

해석

A: 퇴근 후에 커피숍에서 차나 한 잔 할까요? 

B: 그러면 좋겠지만 할 일이 너무 많아서요… 

A: 요새 너무 바쁜 것 아니에요? 

B: 맞아요, 게다가 주말에 부모님까지 오시기로 되어있어요!
